C.C. Hikes is a log of the trails, parks, and roadside attractions I’ve visited in the past few years. The idea is to chart those places in a custom, interactive map along with descriptions, pictures, and notes for each site.

You can use my travelog to discover cool places and then use my interactive map to navigate there, or vice versa.

I also review backpacking gear that I have personally purchased and tested.

Backstory

I live Greenville, South Carolina, which is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The area is filled with parks, trails, waterfalls, and historic sites. It’s an embarrassment of riches and I love exploring.

I’m a strategic marketer by trade with a focus on digital communications. One of my specialties is information hierarchy. I was tired of providing the same hiking recommendations over and over again, so I decided to start publishing them in a blog that could be referenced with ease. Then I linked my posts with my own interactive map to provide better context to users.
