Read about my complete Uinta Highline Trail experience, including prep, gear, logistics, and post-hike impressions.
I’ve published summaries and pictures of each day of our Uinta Highline Trail (UHT) section hike, but I also shot videos. I finally got around to combining them into a short film.
I mostly shot 5-second glances of the scenery. Unlike my John Muir Trail video, I managed to keep this retrospective brief. The result is a 16-minute film that follows our hike from Chepeta Lake to Henry’s Fork and then back to the area around Hayden Pass.
We had planned to thru-hike the entire western section, but fast-moving hailstorms and a slower than expected pace spurred us to take an alternate exit out of Henry’s Fork. We hitchhiked back to Hayden Pass and spent our final day in the wilderness enjoying the picturesque Mirror Lake area. You can learn more by reading through the daily breakdowns.

If you’re interested in just seeing certain sections of the trail, use the links below to skip straight to those parts. Video links will open in new windows. This film, in conjunction with my pre-hike prep posts and post-hike summaries, should give you the knowledge necessary to plan your own adventure.
